Swami
Vivekananda Youth Award-2009

by Swami Vivekananda Study Circle)
On the occasion of celebrating National Youth Day, Swami
Vivekananda Study Circle has decided to honour with Swami Vivekananda Youth Award (previously 'Role Model Award') to the
deserving students from educational institutions located in
Punjab and Chandigarh offering degree level/postgraduate courses.
The
Circle endeavors to revive the pride in our rich culture and spiritual
heritage. The circle concentrates to create an awakening among the
youth. In an age of crises and transition, society needs an awareness
of the country’s glorious tradition. The circle through lectures,
seminars and social work carries on the message of Swami Vivekananda
who believed that, “The power of ideal lies in the practical.”
The
members of the circle believe that India will awake again when
hundreds of men & women with broadest outlook would exert themselves
to their utmost for the well being of millions. Our faith lies in the
younger generation, who will work out the whole problem like lions.
The Students,who apart from their good academic achievements also posses and inculcate most of the qualities mentioned below, may
apply for this award. The application must be recommended by the College Principals/Directors/Head
of Dept. and parent:

After receiving the applications, the Circle
may call eligible & most deserving/suitable candidates for interview. The date(s) for interview will be announced later on,
and awards will be presented during the celebration of ‘National
Youth Day’ in the month of January,2009.
Last date for receipt of applications extended upto 30th December,2008. |
